Tips on bringing the bible home
-
Children often notice more than we realise. When they see you making time for God’s Word, they learn that it matters. Explore what it looks like to spend time in the Word in a visible space. Letting your quiet moments of faith speak for themselves.
-
Life with kids is beautifully messy — full of joy, noise, and unpredictability. In the middle of it all, consistency can be hard to find. Yet even small, steady moments can make a lasting impact. Look for simple ways to create regular rhythms of faith as a family — a short prayer before bed, a quiet moment of thankfulness at dinner, or reading a verse together. It doesn’t have to be big to be meaningful; it just needs to be consistent.
-
It’s easy, as parents, to do the talking, the praying, and the teaching for our children. But faith grows best when it becomes their own. Rather than always giving the answers, guide them to discover truth for themselves. Open the Bible together and encourage them to explore what it says. Invite them to pray in their own words. When children learn to seek God personally, their faith moves from borrowed to deeply rooted.
